CubaOcho as an art museum
The unofficial cultural center of Miami's Little Havana neighborhood
After escaping Cuba by boat in 1992 on a vessel loaded with art, owner Roberto is as essential as the art collection he's preserved. A published author and advocate of the "Seven Arts" as he calls it, you'll have to pop in to hear his story of how the works were saved during a daring escape from Cuba, along with his life almost 30 years ago.
The center itself has become the unofficial focal point of the Calle Ocho neighborhood, with not only the paintings on grand display, but the flavors and sounds of Cuba proudly served up daily.
You can even enjoy a drink at Frank Sinatra's own Havana hotel bar! You'll have opportunity to sample among the largest collection of single rums in Miami, perhaps even Florida or beyond.
